Description:

Cardiomyopathy and Juvenile mortality (CJM) is a poorly defined systemic disease.

Affected puppies die at birth or at a maximum age of 6-8 weeks. In a recently reported case, the puppies initially developed normally but then showed non-specific symptoms like vomiting, uncoordinated movements, trembling or respiratory symptoms and died a few days after the first clinical signs, usually due to heart failure.
